How to Install Your UniSolid Curtains

Installing your new UniSolid curtains is simple and can transform the look of any room in just a few steps. Follow this easy guide for a flawless setup.

Tools You’ll Need

  • Curtain rod (ensure it’s the correct width for your window)

  • Mounting brackets

  • Screws & wall anchors (if needed)

  • Measuring tape

  • Pencil

  • Level

  • Drill or screwdriver

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Measure & Mark

  • Width: Extend the rod 4-6 inches beyond each side of the window frame for full coverage when closed.

  • Height:

    • For a modern look, mount the rod 4-6 inches above the window frame.

    • For a dramatic effect, place it closer to the ceiling.

  • Use a pencil to mark the bracket positions and a level to ensure straight alignment.

2. Install the Brackets

  • Pre-drill holes (if necessary) and secure the brackets with screws.

  • For drywall, use wall anchors for extra support.

3. Hang the Curtain Rod

  • Slide the rod through the brackets and ensure it’s secure.

  • If using a tension rod, adjust it to fit snugly inside the window frame.

4. Attach the Curtains

  • Pinch Pleat/Grommet Panels: Slide the hooks or grommets directly onto the rod.

  • Rod Pocket/Tab Top: Thread the rod through the curtain’s pocket or tabs.

  • Clip Rings: Attach clips to the curtain’s top hem and hang them on the rod.

5. Adjust & Style

  • Evenly distribute the fabric for a balanced look.

  • For a fuller appearance, ensure the curtain width is 1.5–2 times the window width.

Pro Tips

Blackout curtains? Ensure they fit snugly against the wall to maximize light blockage.
Sheer curtains? Layer them with heavier drapes for versatility.
Maintenance: Regularly check brackets and hardware to keep curtains hanging securely.
